Marketing used to be a man’s world.
Think Mad Men: Don Draper and the testosterone-driven, alpha-male world of Madison Avenue.
But that is all changing. These days, women are flexing their marketing muscles and making an impact. And we’re especially impressed with these 12 women who are taking the lead in key areas of digital marketing.
Here’s who you should watch out for, because you need to be listening to and learning from all of them.
1. Tiffany Sauder
President of Element Three
Tiffany was 25 years old when she took over Element Three, a digital agency in Indianapolis. In the 12 years since taking on the role of President, Element Three was named the largest full-service marketing agency in Indianapolis and made the Inc. 5000 list 6 years in a row. Tiffany has increased annual revenues by 1000 percent, was named IBJ’s Forty Under 40, and has led Element Three to become the fastest growing agency in the Midwest.
Tiffany leads her team with the guiding light that every campaign is different. At Element Three, there isn’t a cookie cutter formula for success, and it’s Sauder’s custom model that is driving Element Three’s (and their clients’) hockey stick growth.
2. Clodagh Higgins
Founder of Growit Group
Clodagh is a digital agency master. After working as HubSpot’s Program Manager of their Agency Growth Team, she created her coaching and consulting business, GrowitGroup. Her B2B business helps agencies hire, train, and grow. Clodagh’s coaching model is built around her motto of focusing on the people power of an agency. When you hire the right people and you spend time training them—you’ll see growth.
Her secrets are all in her book, A Happy & Healthy Digital Agency and broadcasted on top-tier marketing stages around the world, including at the Traffic & Conversion Summit, and the brand-new Digital Agency Expo.
3. Jennifer Hudye
Founder of Conscious Copy & Co
The truth sells—this is the mission statement that has landed Jennifer’s high performing clients like Joe Polish, Dean Graziosi, and Billy Gene Shaw. By 19, Jennifer had already sold 2 companies (one for 6 figures and the other for 7 figures). 6 years later, she had created the go-to copywriting agency, Conscious Copy & Co., and was working alongside the people she admired—top coaches, thought leaders, and experts.
Jennifer now shares the stage with Lewis Howes, Russel Brunson, and Dan Sullivan. She’s been called “the modern-day muse for entrepreneurial leaders” and is one of the most established copywriters in her niche.
4. Jasmine Star
Photographer and Business Strategist, Founder of My Social Curator
Jasmine Star is one of the Top 10 Wedding Photographers in the World. She uses her social media platforms, like Instagram, to grow her influence and showcase her social curation expertise. She’s been featured in Forbes and helps entrepreneurs around the world figure out how to curate their social platforms to grow their own fandom.
Her social media strategy may surprise you—she doesn’t want you to grow to a million followers as quickly as possible. She wants you to grow slowly, aka authentically. Her clients aren’t building a following while lowering their engagement rates. They’re increasing their engagement rates and increasing their follower-ship.
Jasmine Star is the social media guru to watch in 2019 and the woman who can show you how to have aesthetic and authenticity in today’s digital landscape.
5. Rachel Tipograph
Founder & CEO of MikMakTV
Rachel launched her business after working as the Global Director of Digital and Social Media at Gap at only 24 years old. And rightfully so.

7. Natasha Takahashi, Chatbots
Chief Marketing Officer & Co-Founder, School of Bots
Natasha Takahashi is a conversational marketing expert and educator, host of the popular There’s a Bot For That podcast, and owner of a conversational marketing agency that runs chatbot campaigns for brands and influencers.
When chat bots became a thing, she was frustrated by the lack of education on them, so she co-founded School of Bots: the leading chatbot education brand. Now, 3500+ people in 30+ countries around the world owe their expertise to her.
If you think that’s cool…
Natasha’s to-do list includes an impressive collection of goals: starting a record label, speaking 7 languages, creating cool fellowships for college dropouts, lots of angel impact investing, helping run the Olympics, and even climbing Mount Everest.

She’s also co-founder of Mimosa Mastermind, a tactical, all-inclusive mastermind for health, wellness, and personal development entrepreneurs. There, she’s worked with industry notables, such as Dr. Mark Hyman, Dr. Izabella Wentz, The Truth About Cancer, Venus Factor, and more.

9. Laura Belgray, Copywriting
Owner, Talking Shrimp
When you need a powerhouse copywriter, you need Laura Belgray. Founder of Talking Shrimp and co-creator of The Copy Cure, she’s been an award-winning writer for nearly 2 decades.
Laura works primarily with TV shows, writing promos, launch campaigns, upfronts, online content, book chapters, and more.
I’d be willing to bet you’ve seen some of her scripts. They’ve been performed by actors like Joan River, Kevin Hart, Spongebob Squarepants, and Kathy Griffin, to name just a few.
On a side note, she also taught Sherman Hemsley, AKA George Jefferson, to moonwalk.
But those kinds of writing chops don’t stay secret for long. After talking about copywriting at Marie Forleo’s first RHH Live event, Laura was asked by several entrepreneurs for help with their copywriting. One thing led to another, and she now offers copywriting in addition to TV promotions.
10. Joana Galvao, Design Optimization
Joana Galvao is co-founder of a top agency in Portugal, GiF Design Studios. There, she and her team cull ideas from different cultures and environments to create designs that are totally unique and distinctive.
Joana trained at the UK’s #1 university for graphic design and started her career working at award-winning design agencies like Brand42.
But her real desire was to work with ambitious and revolutionary entrepreneurs, which is why she and partner Jose Freitas opened GiF.
It didn’t take long for them to build a 4-month waiting list. Joana’s drive to exceed client expectations attracted clients that any agency would be proud to work with.

She’s worked with hundreds of clients, from tech start-ups to real estate companies, social entrepreneurs, and health & wellness leaders, as well as authors and online personalities.
